Noora Hannula is a Finnish dancer and prize-winning choreographer, who mostly operates in and around Denmark as the artistic director of  The Nordic Beasts dance theatre. She has choreographed her own work since 2011 and started her career by winning prizes for best choreography in 2012 with her solo work: White noise in Belgium and in 2013 with the duet Buy My City in Amsterdam. In 2016 Noora's collaboration piece Utmaningar (2015) choreographed for Region Teater Väst got selected to the program of the International Tanzmesse, in Dusseldorf, and in Autumn 2018 her piece titled Noora Hannula vs Soma the Augmented-Reality Girl - THE ULTIMATE BATTLE (2018) was presented at the international science, arts and technology Festival, Ars Electronica, in Austria. In March 2019 she was named by the Danish Arts Council as one of the three most interesting stage artists currently working in Denmark.

Since 2016 Hannula has focused on themes reflecting on the digital age, researching in topic such as online self, digital partners and constructed intimacy. With Snap Me, 20231 LIKES (2016), the first work of her SOME-SERIES she started her research of social medias role regarding our identity, and in 2017-2018 continued the reflection on the digital in our lives with the first work of her DIGITAL LOVE TRILOGY: Noora Hannula vs. Soma The Augmented-Reality Girl – THE ULTIMATE BATTLE (2018).

When not busy with her own projects Noora has danced among others for Kristján Ingimarsson Company, Mute Comp. Physical Theater and Uppercut dance theater, gives workshops in various dance establishments nationally and internationally, and is a regular guest teacher at danish theater and physical theater educations.

She also takes pleasure in writing, and her texts have been used for instance in Mute Comp. Physical Theater's show Most Truths Are So Naked (2015) and in most of her own stage works.

She has her BA in modern dance theater from Amsterdam School of the Arts.
